CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

General provisions

Registration fees and/or reservations are non-refundable, except in the event of cancellation or suspension of the Event for reasons other than duly justified force majeure.

Except in the circumstances set out above, the User may not exercise the right of withdrawal or termination in accordance with the applicable consumer protection and retail trade regulations.

Inability to attend the event or an error made when purchasing registration(s) and/or reservation(s) (for example, entering an incorrect email address during the purchase process) shall not constitute grounds for a refund.

In accordance with the applicable consumer protection and retail trade regulations, the Purchaser may not exercise the right of withdrawal or termination, as the provision of services related to leisure activities is exempt from this right.

If the Event is suspended after more than half of its duration has elapsed, the Purchaser shall not be entitled to a refund of the registration fee.

In the event of any cancellation or change affecting an Event, Investén-isciii undertakes to publish the relevant information on the Website and send an email notification to the Purchaser at the address provided in the Registration Form, informing them of the cancellation or change.

The Organising Committee shall not refund any registration fee(s) and/or reservation(s) under any circumstances if the event cannot take place due to force majeure circumstances beyond the control of the event organisers. Such circumstances include, but are not limited to, natural disasters, earthquakes, floods, terrorist alerts, war, major civil disturbances, curfews, public health emergencies, epidemics, fires, meteorite impacts, social unrest, or any other force majeure event beyond the Organising Committee’s control that disrupts the normal course of everyday life.

No refunds shall be issued to attendees who are unable to attend due to circumstances beyond their control or critical situations, such as transport strikes, accidents, illness, or any other issue beyond the event organisers’ control that prevents them from attending the conference.

The event may be recorded for broadcast or publication through different channels, meaning that attendees may appear in video or audio recordings. Anyone who does not wish to appear in such recordings must expressly notify the Organising Committee.

The content and recordings of the event’s presentations and workshops are the property of Investén-isciii, and all copyright and intellectual property rights belong to Investén-isciii, which reserves the right to publish them at such time and in such manner as it deems appropriate.

Attendees may upload photographs of the event to the Internet. However, recording videos or audio of presentations and publishing such recordings on any existing video-sharing platform during the aforementioned embargo period is strictly prohibited.

Investén-isciii shall endeavour to ensure the proper organisation of the entire conference and to ensure that the service providers and venue comply with applicable legislation and appropriate safety measures. However, the Organising Committee shall not be held liable for negligence on the part of other companies or service providers that may cause damage or accidents, whether involving the building itself, audiovisual service providers, catering services, or any other third party.

Investén-isciii shall not be held responsible if an attendee consumes any food or drink to which they are allergic, as the same catering service is provided to all attendees. Each attendee is responsible for knowing which foods and drinks they may or may not consume. If there is any doubt regarding the ingredients of a particular food item, attendees are advised, as a precaution, not to consume it.

Attendees must wear their identification badge at all times while on the event premises. Badges will be issued in advance upon presentation of a valid national identity document (DNI) or completion of an electronic acknowledgement of receipt.

Any member of the event staff may request that attendees present their national identity document (DNI) and identification badge while on the event premises.

Anyone who fails to wear their identification badge or refuses to identify themselves by presenting their DNI or an equivalent identity document may be asked to leave the premises, without entitlement to any compensation.

All identification badges are personal and non-transferable. Duplicating a badge or transferring it to someone who is not registered for the conference may result in the cancellation of the right to attend, without entitlement to any compensation. Such conduct may also be reported to the relevant authorities as document forgery or misuse of an official document.

The event Organising Committee shall endeavour to maintain order and ensure safety within the conference venue. However, it shall not be responsible for attendees’ personal belongings, which remain their sole responsibility, including their safekeeping and supervision.

The event Organising Committee shall not be liable for any personal belongings that are lost or stolen. Nevertheless, any lost property found will be kept for return to its rightful owner, provided that the owner can be identified or comes forward to claim it.

The Organising Committee is always committed to and aims to deliver an event of the highest possible scientific quality, making every effort to achieve this objective. However, it acknowledges that circumstances beyond its control may affect the final outcome.

The Organising Committee will endeavour at all times to resolve any problems or difficulties that may arise to ensure the smooth running and proper development of the event, while safeguarding the well-being and satisfaction of all attendees.
