Dear colleagues,

As President and on behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is an honor to extend to you our warmest welcome to the XXX International Nursing Research Conference and the VIII International Doctoral Students’ Workshop.

This event has established itself as one of the leading scientific forums dedicated to promoting care research in our country.

This year’s edition takes on particular significance as it coincides with the 30th anniversary of the Research Unit in Care and Health Services (Investén-isciii), whose trajectory has been crucial in strengthening the research culture, promoting methodological excellence, and fostering the transfer of knowledge to clinical practice and health policies.

On this occasion, it is also important to highlight the participation and institutional support of the Health and Social Services Department of the Government of Extremadura and the Extremadura Health Service, whose collaboration reaffirms our shared commitment to improving the quality of care and developing evidence-based care.

The city of Cáceres, host of this meeting, is commemorating the 40th anniversary of its declaration as a UNESCO World Heritage City this year. In this context, the San Francisco Cultural Complex, a historic space that will host our sessions and activities, provides a particularly fitting setting. It is a monumental complex with origins linked to convent and hospital life, which throughout the centuries has served as a place of care and hospitality, maintaining a close relationship with the care of the sick, pilgrims, and vulnerable people. Holding this significant conference in a location with such a rich heritage and humanitarian legacy invites us to reflect on the historical roots of care and on the professional responsibility we, as a community, have for its continuity and progress.

The scientific program features high-quality contributions and includes leading experts at both national and international levels. Emerging lines of research, innovative methodologies, and projects aimed at improving health outcomes, patient safety, and the humanization of care will be addressed. The scheduled lectures, panels, presentations, and workshops provide an opportunity for the rigorous exchange of knowledge and for the consolidation of new partnerships among researchers, clinical professionals, managers, and institutional leaders.

Beyond the intense scientific activity, the conference also includes time to socialize , have fun and enjoy shared experiences. We will have the opportunity to relax and celebrate the 30 year history of Investén-isciii, reflecting on the past, embracing the present, and looking ahead to the future.

Their dedication and effort ensure that this conference continues to be a leading forum for the advancement of nursing research.
